In partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation®, Valspar® is proud to offer a palette of over 250 colors documented from historic places across the country and representing American colors from a variety of periods and styles.

The Neoclassical palette is inspired by the stone buildings of ancient Greece and Rome. It features a range of white and gray neutrals, along with shades of green and light, nature inspired colors.

Woodlawn A handsome 126 acre estate in Alexandria, VA, Woodlawn was originally part of George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

Neoclassical architecture encompasses both Greek and Roman Revival styles, as well as Jeffersonian architecture. Popular from about 1790 to 1830, Neoclassical buildings often feature Palladian windows, symmetrical shapes, columns that span the full height of the building, door and window arches and domed roofs.
